Delight, joy and happiness is the inherent state of being human. Peeling back the layers to live from this state is the goal of yoga and Ayureda.

At Seacoast Yoga Therapy, we believe in a comprehensive approach to well-being that addresses the various layers of the Self - koshas. These layers, each influencing the other, reflect different aspects of your existence.

Annamaya Kosha (Physical): Yoga therapy may begin with the physical body. Through therapeutic vinyasa (yoga postures and breath awareness) somatic movement, corrective exercise, targeted stretching, and more, we work to improve your physical health, relieve discomfort, and restore balance.

Pranamaya Kosha (Energetic): Prana, or vital energy, is supported by the breath. Pranayama or breath practices regulate and balance this energy, providing vitality and a sense of equilibrium.

Manomaya Kosha (Mental): Yoga therapy utilizes meditation and relaxation techniques to calm the mind, reduce stress, and foster emotional balance. By working at this layer we support the nervous system and improve vagal tone to enhance mental clarity, self-awareness, and emotional control.

Vijnanamaya Kosha (Intuition): This layer represents your wisdom and intuitive knowledge. Through coaching and introspective practices we encourage self-reflection and personal growth. You'll gain insights and tools to make informed choices and align your life with your deeper purpose.

Anandamaya Kosha (Bliss): a state of inner peace, contentment, or bliss is a fundamental aspect of human existence, and we have the potential to realize and experience it. Yoga therapy is a journey that transcends the physical and delves into the essence of who you are.

By addressing each kosha, we ensure a well-rounded and transformative experience that unlocks your potential at every layer of your being.

"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
