Here on the seacoast we have figured out how to eke out every ounce of summer. I think this is because the darkness and cold of winter seem to have just faded away or are nipping at our heels during the fleeting months of summer.
We fill our free time being outside, doing all the things with all the people, and gratefully take in every gift that the season has to offer. We summer like it’s our job!
Sometimes, the heat of summer and the abundant fire energy that is predominant this time of year can accumulate in the body and mind.
We feel this physically with things like heat rashes, skin irritations and heartburn. It can also show up in the mind as agitation, irritability, and frustration.
During this special Summer Refresh class we will move through a supportive flow, practice cooling pranayama, and end with a nourishing restorative series.
During class we’ll learn a little about the fire element - pitta dosha in Ayurveda, how it can support us, what it looks like when it’s out of balance, and simple tips to keep it in check this time of year.
You’ll leave feeling cooler, calmer, and ready to take in the infinite possibility and abundance that summer on the seacoast has to offer.
